H. Theophile is a design and manufacturing company that produces high-end door and cabinet hardware products for architects and interior designers.
Our projects are worldwide and range from one-off, highly engineered hardware solutions to complicated, historically appropriate decorative designs.
We are seeking experienced mechanical engineers with DEMONSTRATED project management skills and experience. MUST have experience in managing projects from initial design through final delivery, including design iteration, mechanical engineering, management of outside fabricators and management of final assembly and delivery.
Client-facing management skills and experience are useful.
Proven design and engineering experience balancing design, functionality, and feasibility of manufacturing of metal fixtures and mechanisms is a must.
We machine, cast and forge our products and work with artisans and production partners on the East Coast.

Projects may require your suggestions and we always value creativity and suggestions on new ways of solving problems.
Required qualifications :
- 3-7 years of work experience.
- MUST have Solidworks experience and expertise.
- Experience with metal manufacturing, especially machining and casting in small quantity runs.
Additional preferred qualifications :
- Experience with building construction and millwork process
- Experience reading architectural drawings
- Exposure to project management including production against deadlines and budgets
- Hands on shop skills including metal machining, woodworking, use of typical hand tools.
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (optional)
Responsibilities include :
- Part and assembly modeling in Solidworks
- Develop presentation packages for design and technical details
- Develop fabrication drawings and work with production team and vendors
- Manage project and production timelines
- Oversee QC and assembly process
