RESPONSIBILITIES OF A LEAD PRESCHOOL TEACHER :
- Supervises, implements, and directs preschool childcare programs and other program staff for specific site.
- Responsible for ensuring all direct reports are up to date with all required training, in-service training, and certifications.
- Understands and maintains ADHS state licensing rules and regulations and YMCA childcare program standards.
- Develops positive relationships with children and parents.
- Encourages member involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
- Controls, orders supplies, and maintains inventory.
- Ensures pertinent site records, files, and other required administrative procedures are completed and maintained.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A LEAD PRESCHOOL TEACHER :
- 18 years of age or older
- Current state approved first-aid and CPR / AED certification
- Must possess or obtain prior to working in ration an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and negative TB test
- Associate degree and / or currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's program.
- Three years qualifying experience in childcare field and 6 credit hours in the childcare field or 60 documented training hours
- Minimum 6 months’ knowledge and experience in early childhood education or child development
- Minimum 6 months' experience working in a certified pre-school.
