We are looking for a self-starter / self-motivated Legal Assistant / Secretary. This position will provide a broad spectrum of legal services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the office
  • Handle communication with clients, witnesses, other law offices, etc.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, pleadings, and status reports
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain heavy firm calendars

Skills

  • Proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary
  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system, preferably civil litigation
  • Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
  • Computer literacy, especially proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple activities

Pay in range will reflect skills and experience.
