The Senior Build and Automation engineer will be responsible for building innovative frameworks across Tinder Engineering.

In this role, the Senior Build and Automation engineer will be working with various feature teams and outsourced QA automation engineers to ensure highest quality during our development and products are released on time with solid test automation coverage.

This candidate will be responsible for recommending, improving and implementing testing tools, techniques and technologies.

We are looking for a leader of automation that can work alongside our team at Tinder to continuously improve our automated testing efficiency while maintaining our bar of quality to the supreme levels our customers expect.

The Senior Build and Automation engineer will be maintaining our build stack and updating to the latest versions of Xcode, Bazel, and other components of our build stack.

What You'll Do :

• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure features are developed using automation testability in mind.
• Evaluate existing automation frameworks and test scripts, and drive any necessary changes.
• Recommend, augment, and implement usage of proven automation tools, technologies and techniques to solve specific situations.
• Lead and train quality engineering vendor team members on best practices and building automation frameworks.
• Create an automated dashboard to elevate the quality of our releases by helping maintain automated tests integrated into our CI / CD pipelines.
• Lead evaluation of various vendor tooling with scalable POC’s.
• Own, manage, and improve our CI pipelines on iOS.
• Maintain our build stack and keep it up to date with latest versions (eg Xcode, Bazel)
• Improve the reliability and performance of test and build processes.

What You'll Need :

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in professional experience building large scale mobile applications for direct consumer-facing apps (Business to Consumer) built on iOS for a global tech company
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience in a similar field.
• 2+ years of experience with automation frameworks testing Mobile Apps.
• Solid Knowledge of automation implementation including but limited to functional, performance, regression, analytics, accessibility
• Experience working with external testing solutions such as BrowserStack, Marathon lab or AWS.
• Avid Learner : Passion for continuous learning and able to effectively communicate technology-oriented concepts.

Nice to Have :

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience with XCUITest. Other frameworks like Appium, Calabash are nice to have.

$165,000 - $185,000 a year

The salary range for this position is $165,000 - 185,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

This salary range is reflective of a position based in Palo Alto. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
