This position will support the subsidiaries of ATN International, Inc. across four (4) of its international markets in the following territories : The Co-operative Republic of Guyana, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and the US Virgin Islands, and other Caribbean region markets on an ad hoc basis ( Group ).

The role will support the Group business with broad engagement across a variety of commercial and contractual B2B legal matters including the development of streamlined legal and contractual management processes.

Ideal candidates are qualified as an attorney to practice within the Commonwealth Caribbean or the United States with existing in-house experience or are a qualified solicitor practicing with a focus on B2B corporate / commercial B2B contacts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop standard contract terms and negotiation strategies for B2B service offerings.
  • Draft and negotiate supplier and alliance agreements with key suppliers for B2B service offerings.
  • B2B contractual arrangements - contract T&C's review, negotiation, drafting and amendment at tender / proposal, execution and renewal stages (sales and supplier side).
  • Collaborate with Brava management, operations, and sales teams to support sound commercial decision making, Business IP, and Data privacy.
  • Coordinate with local subsidiary counsel in the international markets, as needed, to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Candidates may be required to travel, both within the country and internationally, to various ATN International markets as required.

Specification Skills

  • Experience in B2B commercial matters particularly B2B contracts review, negotiation & drafting, IP, Data Privacy, etc.
  • Proficiently analyze legal issues, considering both strategic and creative perspectives, to advise accordingly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills and judgement, excellent analysis, drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated to drive delivery against objectives and an ability to work autonomously and manage own caseload.
  • A strong customer focus and specifically a willingness to learn and build good working relationships with internal clients and stakeholders to ensure understanding of the Group’s contractual obligations, identify areas of improvements of standardized documents, policies and standards, and help enhance and improve on the customer experience.
  • Accustomed to operating with business stakeholders on complex matters in a fast-paced environment and with a successful track record of aligning legal priorities with business goals.

Experience

  • An Attorney-at-law with seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience qualified to practice within a Commonwealth jurisdiction
  • Experience in B2B commercial matters particularly B2B contracts review, negotiation & drafting, IP, Data Privacy etc.

Location

Ideal candidates will be located in the Beverly, MA area or in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. We are open to considering candidates for remote work position located in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington.

This is a single open position that can be filled by a candidate based either in the U.S. or internationally.
