Position Title : Staff Registered Nurse ( 11p-7am) Rotational Weekends
Copper Ridge is recruiting for a nurse to fill an RN role in a skilled nursing facility setting. The charge nurse is a staff nurse position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervising responsibilities.

Duties :
- Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess their needs to provide quality care
- Work with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or procedures
- Maintain complete healthcare records and reports including PCC being utilized according to best practices.
- Supervise, manage, and assist in training CMA’s and GNA’s on staff
- Perform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessary
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the facility
- Collaborates with DON in maintaining adequate staffing coverage
- Effectively utilizes existing manpower to limit the amount of overtime / agency needed to support staffing
- Assess work performance of nursing staff while on duty ensuring timeliness in services to our patients / residents
- Maintain security of the facility, creating an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the needs of our staff, patients, and their families
- Monitoring nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure positive outcomes.
- Encourages shift to shift communication between incoming and outgoing nursing staff.
- Reviews prospective Admissions in relation to existing nursing capabilities and ensures readiness to treat.
- Ensure that patient's attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient health condition.
- Investigates patient / family complaints and takes appropriate actions to bring to resolution.
Requirements :
- Current state RN
- BLS / CPR certification
- In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines
- Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Experience supervising GNAs and CMAs in a nursing home setting
