The accounting associate reports to the Accounting Manager. In this capacity the Accounting Associate will be responsible for :

• Oversight of the Accounts Payable function, including processing invoices, credit card statements, expense report reimbursements, distributing wire payments
• Assists with processing cash receipts
• Managing the Firm’s Corporate American Express accounts, including second level review and editing of entries for final review and approval
• Update, prepare and circulate Daily Cash Report
• Monitors the general ledger and inputs journal entries
• Assists with month-end and year-end closing, including financial reporting
• Additional ad-hoc Accounting duties and running reports as needed
• Assisting the team with Court submissions

Required Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years’ experience on an accounting or finance team within Legal industry
• Proven track record of data entry proficiency
• Professional Services or Law firm accounting experience is a plus
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Intermediate level in Excel
• Knowledge of Accounting systems including ProLaw, Elite, 3E a plus
• Familiarity with Expense Reimbursement systems, including Concur a plus
