Direct Support Professional Float

NOTE : This is a temporary Float Position. You will Float until new clients move in, early OCT. See description for more details.

We have multiple immediate openings for our Direct Support Professional Float (DSP) position. Those who are interested will need to be willing and able to work at any of our homes in New Brighton, Minneapolis, St.

Paul, Maplewood, Egan, or Inver Grove Heights. This is a unique position where we have a couple of new clients starting with our company in early October.

Once these clients move in, you would be transferred to working with them. Both your agreed upon hours in your schedule and your rate of pay would be the same, however instead of working at multiple locations as a float you would be working at one location with 2 clients.

The new clients you would be working with, come October, are in their late 40s. We are looking for staff who have experience working with individuals who have both higher behaviors and personal cares.

Otherwise, our clients enjoy getting out in the community and being involved in fun activities. Other activities & responsibilities include assisting with client programming, preparing meals, passing medications, doing laundry & house cleaning.

Full training will be provided.

Open Positions :

Shift 1 : Monday- Friday 6a-2p

Shift 2 : Monday- Friday 2p-10p

Shift 3 : Monday- Friday 3p-10p

Shift 4 : Awake Overnights 10p-8a

Shift 5 : Sat, Sun 6a-2p

Shift 6 : Sat, Sun 2p-10p

Filling these positions is on a first come first served basis

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or Proof of General Educational Development (GED) Tests Completion
• ONE year minimum paid work experience serving persons with Developmental / Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Illness, or other comparable work-related experience
• Experience working with individuals who have high behaviors
• Experience working with individuals who have personal care needs (ie. bathing, toileting, dressing, ect.)

Requirements :

• A Valid Driver's License
• Dependable Vehicle
• Good Driving Record
• Car Insurance under your name
• At Least 19 Years Old
