Human Resources (HR) Specialist

A nursing home is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Specialist to join their team.

General Human Resources (HR) Specialist duties :

  • Benefits and Leave administration, including FMLA
  • Employee relations
  • Onboarding
  • Compliance

Payroll duties :

  • Time and Attendance entry
  • Payroll Register Audit and Review
  • Understanding Federal and State laws and regulations governing Payroll

    • Recruiting duties :

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment
  • Consult with hiring managers to ascertain needs within each department
  • Manage the job postings process
  • Review resumes and pre-screen candidates
  • Schedule candidate interviews with hiring managers
  • Conduct phone and office interviews
  • Understand HR policies and practices related to benefits, work rules, pre-offer requirements, etc.

    • Desired qualifications :

  • Healthcare experience required
  • At least 2 years of HR management experience, including recruiting
  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and NY employment laws and regulations
  • Staffing coordination experience preferred

    • Salary : up to $70,000 per year
