Speech Pathologist

Position Description :

• Primarily engage in patient-centered cognitive-communication assessment and intervention, with additional care in speech, voice and swallowing as clinically indicated
• Provide exceptional direct evaluation and intervention within an interdisciplinary clinical care team, interacting directly with physicians, allied, behavioral health and integrative care providers
• Document care and provide educational materials on treatment processes.
• Provide clinical treatment and education for patients and family members regarding communication strategies and cognitive strategy support.
• Promote improved quality of care across the BRAVE Program by emphasizing understanding and integration of strategies to support foundational components of TBI-related persistent symptom improvement, with a primary focus on cognitive functioning, auditory-related problems, and communication.
• Collaborate with colleagues in small groups designed for program development, quality improvement, and / or continuing education projects as needed
