Requirements :
- 1 year minimum Freight billing / auditing experience
- LTL experience preferred
- Attention to Detail
- Answering telephones
- Using office equipment such as copy machine, fax machine, e-mail, and keyboard
- Organized with effective time management
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of how to rate freight a must
- Direct Report to Office Manager
Responsibilities :
- Rate Freight Bills
- Answer phones, route calls and take messages
- Professionally handle incoming requests from customers : enter pickups, tracing shipments, providing estimated time of arrival's, quote future shipments
- Provide specific customers with preliminary freight charges and update invoices as needed
- Review and enter Interline revenue
- Prepare invoices for printing
- Scan and index POD's when necessary
- Review rate audit report both current and past
- Enter same day bills
- Take care of any orders that need specific requirements / attention
- Fax / e-mail bill of ladings to partner companies
