Overview
Regulatory Technology aims to be an industry leading function that delivers sustainable regulatory compliance through technology automation and competitive operating leverage to create a safe and controlled operating environment that protects the Deutsche Bank franchise and its clients.
This specific role is with Level One Surveillance where we are monitoring all trade activities looking for anomalous behavior using Google Cloud, Big Data tools, including Python and Spark.
You will work as part of a cross-functional agile dev ops team, collaborating with analysts, developers, and testers, bringing an innovative approach to software development, focusing on using the latest technologies and practices, as part of a relentless focus on business value.

What You’ll Do
Provide architecture and technology leadership for building tools, frameworks, procedures, and standards to provide development team as much autonomy as possible while following DevOps principles;
Help your team build, test and release software with the short lead times and a minimum of waste. Work to develop and maintain a highly automated Continuous Delivery pipeline
Educate and mentor team about DevOps practices like Configuration-as-Code, Pipeline-as-Code, Infrastructure-as-Code, Immutable Infrastructure, Blue / Green deployments, Shift-left, Observability
Work as regional lead for DevOps team, collaborating with development stakeholders and architects, to understand requirements, analyze and refine stories, design solutions, implement them, test them, and support them
Program Management : Manage DevOps Book of Work, Collaborate with stakeholder’s project planning, prioritization, and delivery.
Lead all capacity planning activity across on-premises and cloud infrastructure
People Management : as a Vice President, you will be expected to provide technical leadership to the team. For example, in sharing knowledge, facilitating meetings and workshops, defining solution designs, and discovering new techniques.
This role does not have any immediate people reporting hierarchy, however, it may include elements of team line management in future
Develops Automations CI / CD pipelines, agents, access, integrations, etc. Administers repository solutions (GIT Source control, Docker repository, OpenShift).
Integrates Continuous Deployment processes and Integrates Continuous Testing processes. Automates through scripting using PowerShell and other technologies
How You’ll Lead
Provide technical leadership to the team. For example, in sharing knowledge, facilitating meetings and workshops, defining solution designs, and discovering new techniques
Engage and collaborate with Architects, Development stakeholders and Engineering communities within the Bank, to come up with right solutions and designs
Bring best practices into DevOps and self-service automation models resulting in easier and faster CI / CD implementations, including Continuous Testing
This role does not have any immediate people reporting hierarchy, however, it may include elements of team line management in future
Skills You’ll Need
Extensive years of DevOps experience with recent hands-on experience managing Python, Scala / Java applications and Experience managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, deploying VMs using Terraform
DevOps Cloud engineering skills utilizing cloud fundamentals (Google / Amazon / Azure)
Experience with cloud network / VPC provisioning, cloud IAM integration
Knowledge and experience with SRE practices and knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Practical experience of delivering good quality code within enterprise scale development
Experience using Terraform, GitHub, GitHub actions, Jenkins, HashiCorp stack
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Experience in building, running, and scaling microservices using Kubernetes, GKE, Docker, monitoring services like (Geneos, Prometheus, New Relic) etc. is strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Self-motivated with problem solving attitude
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
