About The Position
Job Title : Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 45 - 19 : 15) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 1 year required License : Valid State License required at time of application Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Certification required Must-Have : High school diploma or GED, 2 years of experience preferred Job Description : Prepare the sterile field for surgical operations, including setup of sterile instruments.
- Assist surgeons with gowning and gloving and drape patients for surgery.- Directly support the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, and anticipating surgeons' needs.
- Support departmental functionality by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.
- Adhere to all local / state / federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.
- Perform specific procedures and assist in orienting new staff to the department.- Ability to work with Epic charting system preferred.
- Must be willing to undergo lab work within 3-5 days of signing.- Return staff policy : candidates must have been gone for 1 year to return as a traveler.
