The Logistics Manager WMS is responsible for logistics, distribution and warehouse works collaboratively with Manufacturing and the Customer Service team members to ensure that the supply chain function is viewed as a strong partner cross-functionally in the organization.
This position plays a key role in a customer driven supply chain organization charged with identifying, implementing, and enhancing successful methods of delivering enterprise-wide results.
The Logistics WMS Manager - SME will provide Distribution, Warehouse leadership to ensure that business objectives are met or exceeded for safety, quality, service, productivity, cost, and efficient storage / shipping / receiving / handling of raw materials and finished goods.
This position will drive supply chain cost and capability initiatives across finished goods and raw materials. The position will develop and implement operational supply chain strategies and technology to include process and systems improvements including ERP, DRP, TMS, WMS in logistics, distribution, and warehousing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently lead first with safety to demonstrate that it is embraced as a value. Lead team to complete safety objectives and ensure a safe and productive work environment
- Lead and support operations teams in WMS experience, training, & ensuring proper use of the WMS system.
- Develop and implement operational supply chain strategies and technology to include systems, tools, process improvements in logistics, distribution, and warehousing
- Lead the development of objectives and execution plans that optimize both the FG Distribution and Material Flow operations, including driving On-Time / In-Full, best in class product storage and handling, and delivery of high inventory accuracy and low damage results
- Establish and maintain an efficient flow of raw materials, packaging components, work in-process, and finished goods. Ensure supply chain effectiveness by exceeding production service requirements of delivering the right materials to the right place at the right time in a cost-efficient manner
- Drive supply chain cost and capability initiatives across both finished goods and raw materials
- Develop space capacity planning strategies that maximize warehouse utilization, material handling efficiencies, and develop predictive capacity requirements
- Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, cost, and efficiency within the Supply Chain Operations team by setting planning activities, objectives, goals and with ultimate alignment of organization around meeting customer and company objectives
- Accountable for adherence to supply chain and cost reduction targets, monitoring progress, increasing supply dependability and flexibility, reviewing schedule, and resolving cross departmental problems
- Develop and foster supplier networks and order fulfillment options by evaluating brokers, suppliers, 3Pls, logistics carriers and cross-functional partners to provide solutions to meet expanding business plans
- Works collaboratively and actively participates with Manufacturing team members to support OEE improvements for enterprise-wide improvements
- Maintain effective communication with demand planning, supply chain planning, customer service, purchasing, quality and related manufacturing functions to provide a leadership role in maximizing customer service
- Manages and motivates assigned staff. Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluations.

Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of distribution and warehouse functions, work group dynamics, measurement systems (metrics), and continuous process improvement techniques
- Must have extensive experience utilizing ERP / DRP / TMS / WMS systems. Especially Blue Yonder (JDA)
- Excellent people management skills, including conflict resolution, coaching, and developing others, promoting teamwork and performance management
- Systems (WMS / Pick and Put way systems) knowledge and implementation experience is essential
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to link business objectives to business activities
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of urgency
- Hands on experience with developing, implementing, and managing distribution center operations
- Demonstrated project integration, planning, communication, and documentation skills to oversee and prepare project team resources requirements in collaboration with cross-functional departments.
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to build strong, positive rapport with associates in a team environment; ability to lead through personal example that communicates integrity, core values, and consistency in decision-making
- Ability to implement site standards and best practices to include policies, procedures, and workflow development
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and to manage multiple projects / priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Management or Logistics preferred
- APICS certifications / experience preferred
- Experience implementing, managing and utilizing ERP, DRP, TMS and WMS systems
- Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- 7+ years' experience in logistic and distribution leadership, with process implementation experience
- Up to 75% travel
