Job Overview
The Radiologic Technologist-Registered is responsible for performing radiographic procedures independently, applying ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic radiographs. This individual has graduated from a certified Radiologic training program and can provide patient care for individuals ranging from ages 0 to 105. Reporting directly to the Radiology Chief Technologist, the technologist demonstrates proficiency in executing a variety of technical procedures with independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and assist Radiologists as required.
- Maintain patient, peer, and personal safety standards.
- Foster professional communication and maintain inter and intra-departmental relations.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring the conservation of supplies.
- Pursue continuing education in alignment with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards.
- Execute any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education :High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of formal radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved school.Licensure / Certification :American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification.
CT certification test completion for Rad Techs working 3rd shift within 12 months.CPR certification required for patient care.Work Experience :Ability to complete x-ray and CT exams for Rad Techs working 3rd shift.
