Responsible for the overall leadership, direction, planning and management of the Ag Equipment Product Marketing Group. Establish the strategic vision, goals and objectives and mission in collaboration with the President and Management Committee, by creating mid-term goals and annual plans.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES : This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines :
- Plays the lead role in developing the organization’s strategic vision / mission and business plans.
- Evaluates the Ag Equipment industry & business trends for potential impact on the organization; identifies key business opportunities and potential threats / obstacles relative to the achievement of short and long-term business objectives to ensure that the company realizes consistent revenue returns along with consistent measurable growth.
- Oversees and directs the activities and strategies for all areas, positions and functions related to sales operations for KTC and reports the results.
- Provide executive level support and guidance to the functional groups and positions to ensure the team achieves sales and business plan objectives, grows market share, expands brand awareness, improves dealer satisfaction levels and incrementally grow Kubota’s revenue.
- Assist marketing in the creation of the branding strategy for Ag Equipment that includes brand positioning, brand penetration and product life cycle management of products to improve customer awareness and increases sales revenues.
- Oversees and directs the execution of all operational plans to ensure maximum return on investment.
- Establish and track sales and market share metrics and other metrics to measure success.
- Seek, identify, and present opportunities for strengthening Kubota’s position in the area of responsibility for Ag Equipment.
- Take the leadership role as the external voice of the company to the marketplace and industry while instilling a strong customer focused philosophy within the company.
- Manage the relationship between the U.S. staff and Japanese staff with the goal of maintaining effective two-way communication.
- Design and launch comprehensive product sales training programs.
- Develop and manage operating budgets for assigned functions to maximize profit and control cost.
- Provide guidance, support, and direction in coordination with all VP’s and Directors to the Divisions in achieving retail and wholesale plans annually.
- Assist the Presidents of KTC and KCC in the discovery and research of acquisitions and mergers that parallel our strategic growth goals.
- Other duties as assigned by members of management.
Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
- EXPERIENCE :
- At least 10 years of sales experience or similar field required.
- Leadership Experience - At least 3 years of leadership experience, which includes experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Preferred - Experience in planning business strategies, overseeing P&L for a large organization and managing successful business operations preferred.
KNOWLEDGE : Contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
TRAVEL : Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Typical office environment.
