The Pharmacists at Mission Community Hospital is responsible for providing optimal pharmaceutical care through accurate and efficient dispensing, assuring compliance with all state and federal regulation, laws, and standards.
The Pharmacist PD plays a key role in providing direction and insight in developing plans of care and educating patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities :
- Ensure the safe, effective and compliant distribution of medication
- Manage drug inventory control and maintain accurate records
- Prepare medications for prescriptions, including admixtures / compounding, and prepare / dispense bulk / packaged drugs
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapies and other related duties
- Educate and counsel patients and healthcare professionals
- Maintain detailed and accurate reports
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, laws, and standards
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the pharmacy
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (or PharmD)
- Current license from the California State Board of Pharmacy
- A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of USP Chapters and State and Federal laws and standards regarding pharmacy practices
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of pharmacy computer software and automated systems
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures
