One of Vaco's distribution clients is looking to onboard an Audit Director to assist with a company-wide initiative to streamline operational controls across all of their distribution centers.
They are looking for folks with proven experience building SOP's, juggling multiple special projects and communicating with different internal teams across an organization on understanding the "why" behind new processes.
Ideally Directors will have experience with distribution and / or inventory - understanding how to increase efficiencies, reducing shrink, reducing inventory holds, etc.
Day-to-day
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational control frameworks to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency across all departments.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to establish and enforce policies and procedures that promote compliance and operational best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance and support in navigating complex compliance issues.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and regulatory authorities, detailing compliance status, issues, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Drive initiatives to promote a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the organization, including training programs and awareness campaigns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, inspections, and investigations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- years of progressive experience in operational controls, compliance management, or related fields.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing effective control frameworks and compliance programs.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to industry or sector .
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFE, CISA) are a plus.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to :
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
