The Maintenance Technician Lead is responsible for ensuring the completion of all tasks necessary to maintain production equipment and facilities in a manufacturing facility.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Assist with directing and overseeing the task of designated maintenance team members.
  • Troubleshoot scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs on production equipment, conveyors, assembly equipment and palletizers.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Requirements :

  • A minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience.
  • Familiar with electrical and mechanical systems including PLC, Drives, PC, Industrial control systems, and mechanical components
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and ladder logic
  • Required to respond to off-hours problems and over-the-phone troubleshooting
  • Ability to organize, plan and lead projects involving in-plant technicians and contract labor
  • Experience maintaining building systems including compressors, pumps, HVAC, closed loop chiller systems, plant communications and fire control systems
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to read safety, quality, and manufacturing instructions
  • Possess the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure.
  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and monitor a team
  • Ability to work independently in a fast pace, constant changing environment
