Key Responsibilities
Manage Enterprise Risk Management Partners at all levels of the organization to develop, implement and execute an enterprise-wide risk management (ERM) strategy that assures compliance with regulations and
minimizes and mitigates risk while safeguarding profitability of the company’s operations. Directs the work of the enterprise risk management program, which integrates corporate strategies and risk philosophies;
provides vision and guidance to core staff and matrix teams in the development of risk frameworks, assessments and mitigation plans that enable PGE to meet and exceed customer’s needs and desires while enhancing the company’s ability to compete effectively and thrive financially, today and in the future.
Reviews and analyzes data and devises risk minimization programs. Manages and leads the agenda of the Executive Risk Committee and ensures risks are routinely discussed and quantified.
Develops and implements controls and cost-effective approaches to minimize the organization’s risk.
Align Strategy with Firm’s Overall Strategy Creates an effective enterprise risk infrastructure that integrates company strategy and philosophies on risk and ties risk management activities to measurable business objectives.
Defines and assigns clear roles and responsibilities for risk management throughout the organization, connecting key risk performance metrics to broader performance metrics and / or incentive or compensation programs.
Enhancing Visibility of Risk Management Evaluates and communicates information regarding business risk to functions across the organization and collaborate with key partners to drive accountability.
Develops and implements meaningful and proactive risk reporting to a variety of stakeholders, including Board, corporate and regulatory compliance reporting.
Establish and Manage PGE’s Risk-Informed Decisions-Making (RIDM) Process Enhances PGE’s recently established RIDM framework in partnership with all stakeholders to further advance company’s risk culture by explicitly including risk in decision-making and O&M and capital planning;
Improves and adjusts the RIDM framework based on lessons learned, input from the senior leadership team, and feedback from regulators.
- Coordinate PGE’s Wildfire Risk Assessment and Mitigation Strategy Manages PGE’s wildfire risk assessment, including oversight of internal and 3rd party wildfire risk modeling;
- Coordinates internal and external engagements related to wildfire including with other utilities, OPUC, and intervenors;
Develops a comprehensive wildfire mitigation strategy that includes coordination with all internal and external stakeholders.
Vision and Strategy Understands and evaluates the organization’s current risk landscape, appetite, goals, and limits; Establishes a best-in-class risk vision and strategy that includes key metrics, analytical and evaluative tools, data management solutions and an integrated framework of processes for managing risk, including identification of the cultural and leadership attributes needed for a high performing, intelligent risk management organization;
Maintains governance structures and lead organizational change management to achieve the desired future state.

Financial Management : Sets strategy and develops plans, policies and processes for the accounting, budgeting and, where applicable, charging of department resources and services, including the definition of cost models and charging models;
sets, negotiates, approves and manages all financial budgets and targets, ensuring that there is adequate funding for department objectives and plans.
Resourcing Oversees workforce planning and resource strategy across multiple departments, ensuring that there is adequate skilled resource to meet planned service delivery or department objectives;
ensures integration with strategic human resource plans; responsible for recruitment, development and demand forecasts for multiple departments.
Professional Development Determines organizational development needs in line with business needs and strategic direction of departments;
generates development strategies to achieve required change; monitors progress and evaluates business benefits achieved.
Education / Experience / Certifications
Education Requires a degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Law, Math, or other related field or equivalent experience.
Experience Typically 10 or more years in related field.

Compensation Range :
$139,230.00 - $258,570.00
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity.
While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
