Job Description :
- Manage and coordinate nursing care activities during client hospitalization.
- Perform assessment, diagnosis, planning, establishing outcomes, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and take responsibility for personnel involved in client care.
- Maintain professional accountability for all nursing care provided.
- Demonstrate competency in nursing judgment and adaptability to new techniques.
- Organize and coordinate nursing care delivery effectively.
- Direct others in health care delivery and communicate effectively.
- Stand for a duration of 4-6 hours and provide direct client care activities as needed.
- Record information accurately, concisely, and completely.
- Implement physician orders promptly and accurately.
- Administer and record medications according to policy.
- Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
- Evaluate personnel performance with recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize appropriate communication channels and adjust interventions based on age-appropriate guidelines.
- Contribute to the care of the environment by maintaining work areas.
- Maintain clients' rights to confidentiality, privacy, safety, and security.
- Adapt easily to changes in work assignments and environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of unit goals.
- Conduct and assign group therapies; participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
- Promote activities geared toward process improvement.
- Support organizational philosophy and participate as a team member.
- Adhere to nursing staffing and scheduling policy.
- Monitor clients and document appropriately; maintain a safe environment.
- Attend required in-services, training, and meetings.
- Establish collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare team members.
- Support harmonious relationships within the healthcare team and with clients.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
