Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Soliant Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a reputable school district in Wheeling, IL.
This full-time onsite position involves providing specialized instruction and support to elementary students in a resource setting.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of elementary students in the resource program.
- Deliver specialized instruction, interventions, and acmodations to support students' academic and behavioral progress.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure effective implementation of educational plans.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports in accordance with district and state requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
- Illinois state certification in Special Education
- Previous experience in teaching special education, specifically at the elementary level
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
Caseload and Schedule :
The position will involve working with elementary students in a resource setting. The full-time schedule will align with standard school hours for the current school year.
