Emergency Tech, Lead - East Madison Hospital

Work Schedule : Part-time position, 90% FTE, Evening / night shift. 8- and 12-hour shifts between the hours of 11 : 00am - 3 : 30am, including a weekend rotation included.

• Demonstrate expertise in the performance of emergency technician procedures.
• Provide educational learnings to emergency department technicians.
• Follow established safety and emergency policies and procedures in daily practice or emergency situations, including handling of equipment and supplies during emergencies.
• Perform hazardous substance decontamination of contaminated patient(s) while wearing level C personal protective equipment, including the use of a powered air-purifying respirator.

Emergency Technicians at UW Health Education : Minimum - Completion of EMT-Basic Preferred - Completion of AEMT or Paramedic program Work Experience : Minimum - One year of experience as an ED Technician Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - EMT - Basic license or National Registry of EMT.

CPR / BLS certification Preferred - ACLS and PALS certification.
