Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Inspector for our Amesbury, MA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations :

Reading blueprints and instruction to comprehend quality expectations for the materials and products.

Approve or reject materials with respect to quality standards. Provide input to Supply Chain department with respect to supplier performance.

Measure and test material / product using specialized tools and equipment to evaluate physical workmanship and performance compliance.

Review procedural documentation to ensure compliance to production expectations.

Participate in nonconformance investigation and support the Quality System.

Test material / product and maintain records of testing and various metrics.

Collaborate with Quality Team to determine efficiency of procedures and processes. Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes.

Prepare and submit Quality Reports.

Qualifications : High School or GED

High School or GED

1 year of experience in mechanical inspection or related field.

CQI Certification preferred.

Basic AS 9100 / ISO 9001 knowledge.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Familiarity or hands-on experience with measurement and inspection equipment.

Fundamental understanding of Quality Management Systems.

Strong attention to detail, communication and interaction skills.
