Athletic Trainer - Certified
Ideal candidate will be required to multi-task and provide excellent patient services as an ATC with our practice. This position will work in multiple office locations.
Responsibilities :
- Splinting and casting application and removal
- Brace fitting and crutch training
- Teaching and instructing exercise programs
- Review of lab results, MRI and other study results
- Managing prior authorizations of medications and imaging
- Communication with MDs and PAs regarding patient care
Competencies :
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and co-workers
Qualifications :
- Must have current BOC certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of CT
- At least one year of experience, preferably within an orthopedic practice, is preferred; New grads may apply
- Ability to travel to several clinics on a weekly / daily basis
- Computer skills : Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records
