RIMARY FUNCTION
The Onboarding Specialist provides support to the Recruiting Team in addition to other areas of the Human Resources Department as needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure a smooth new hire process for new and existing candidates.
- Adhering to all HIPPA and Internet security regulations.
- Communicating the receipt of time sensitive documents.
- Monitoring the progress of onboarding and acting as the main point of contact for all issues related to documentation management.
- Continuously provide professional assistance for each new onboarding requirement.
- Coordinate orientation with remote and local new hires and managers to ensure all participants have relevant information for a successful orientation.
- Data Entry / Management
- Employee Relations
- Perform I-9 verification
- Assist with Pre-Employment Credentials for new hires.
- Assist in the planning and execution of company events
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES :
- Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong Interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with teammates and all levels of management
- Must be trustworthy will handle confidential information routinely
- Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
- Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to multi-task
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or equivalent At least one year of task related experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn additional software programs.
- Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
- Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
HIGHLY PREFERRED
Prior experience with Workday software.
