Job Responsibilities

Clinical Research Assistant A : The Clinical Research Assistant A will perform research and administrative tasks for research projects and clinical trials.

Involvement in projects will range from several weeks to serving as the primary research assistant for a study, handling all research assistant activities such as :

  • Prescreen, recruit, and screen patients according to protocol; Schedule patient visits and any necessary testing; Organize and help maintain study documentation, includes source documentation, case report forms, research charts, and study logs;
  • Prepare for study visits including labeling and creating visit packets; Collect and review study data; Process and ship study specimens including blood and urine;

Escort patients to research visits; Participate in study team meetings and ongoing protocol training; Perform general administrative duties to support the Neuromuscular Clinical Research Division.

Clinical Research Assistant B : Clinical Research Assistant B is expected to perform the duties above with less supervision from the study team (Director of Operations, Project Managers, Clinical Research Coordinators).

In addition to above, the person will be expected to do more in-depth prescreening and review of medical records, data entry, and conduct delegated study visit tasks autonomously.

The job pay range encompasses the full range of employees from new hires to the salaries of Penn employees with many years of experience and seniority.

It is not a precise indicator of the new salaries of new hires when working at the top end.

Hiring range minimum for this position is $17.55 / hour.

Qualifications

  • CRA-A : High School Grad / GE Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize; effective communication and writing skills; strong time management skills; flexible and able to multi-task;

demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

  • CRA-B : H.S. Diploma or GED Required, with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
