We are seeking a professional Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings & Facilities division out of our Philadelphia, PA location .
STV specializes in the planning, designing and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities.
Our Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out.
Responsibilities :
- Apply client and departmental design guidelines and / or drafting standards in daily work assignments with guidance from senior staff
- Ensure that layer names, line types, text sizes, and drawing arrangements are in accordance with standards as set forth on the Project
- Lead projects from start to finish
- Manage budget and schedule for the project’s resources and deliverables
- Participate in or lead squad check drawing package reviews
- Plan own daily work and the work of other team members
- Be able to read, interpret, and check vendor drawings and vendor catalogs
- Travel independently to and conduct site surveys to document electrical, instrumentation, and controls at existing client sites and facilities ( 5% of time)
Required Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 11 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- Working knowledge of building and energy codes
- Working knowledge of industry standards : UL, API, NFPA, IEEE, IES, Energy Codes (ASHRAE), etc.
- Understanding of lighting and lighting control systems design
- Understanding of power system studies using EasyPower, SKM or ETAP
- Understanding of specifying, designing installations, & protective relay settings for low and medium voltage electrical equipment (motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC, VFDs)
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
