About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Software Data Engineer to join and lead our healthcare-focused technology team.

As a Senior Software / Data Engineer in the healthcare industry, you will be an integral part of developing cutting-edge software solutions that contribute to improving patient care, streamlining healthcare operations, and ensuring data security and compliance.

Your work will directly impact the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to patients and providers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of tools and procedures to streamline the creation of data association mappings between disparate data sets
  • Support team needs with ad hoc data research
  • Design / Implement various reports through our reporting engine (FastReports)
  • Spearhead data cleaning, organization and analysis
  • Lead architectural design initiatives for the data and computing needs of the firm, focusing on solutions that seamlessly integrate our technology stack
  • Be the go to expert on SQL and database optimization, tuning, and performance
  • Mentor local engineers on writing clean and performant SQL code
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, product managers, and other engineers to gather and understand requirements for data analysis and reporting solutions that address critical healthcare challenges.
  • Implement and adhere to healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Leverage your expertise in data privacy and security to design and implement solutions that protect sensitive patient information and maintain the confidentiality of healthcare records.
  • Develop algorithms and analytics tools to process and analyze medical data, contributing to data-driven decision-making and patient outcomes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance the value of our software products.
  • Participate in code and data structure reviews, write comprehensive documentation, and provide mentorship to junior team members.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects, ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare software applications

Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar
  • 10+ years of experience in a Software Engineering or related role
  • 6+ years RDBMS and SQL script experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Data Engineer or related role
  • 4+ years of experience in C# .NET with an expert level understanding of the Entity Framework
  • 4+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server on Azure
  • 4+ years of experience designing and implementing data warehousing solutions
  • 4+ years of experience working with cloud systems preferably Azure
  • Proven ability to work with Stakeholders to better define the scope of their needs in a manner that allows for successful delivery.
  • Experience with Git
  • Prior experience with data analysis and usage within AI and AI models a plus.
  • Prior experience in systems with strong regulation and privacy concerns such as financial or health related systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience with the FastReport report design system a plus.

Additional Information

The expected base pay for this role will be between $80-$120 / hr at the commencement of employment, paid in USD. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience.

Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.

We would like candidates to work in US hours at the beginning with potentially Pakistan hours coming in near future.
