Summary : This position is responsible for the addition of raw materials to a blender to produce a quality finished product.
Hourly Rate : $21.66 / Hr.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Verify and assure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.
- Addition of raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.
- Discharging blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.
- Sampling of blended product.
- Filling out of daily schedule control to document production, quality, and performance.
- Cleaning and sanitizing of the blender, sifter, and all support equipment.
- Sanitation of work station and surrounding areas.
- Disposal of trash and garbage dumpsters.
- Adherence to all department procedures and GMP's.
- Ability to maintain all performance standards.
Knowledge and Experience :
Education and / or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; three months related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to communicate with individuals and small groups. Ability to read, write and speak English.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to interpret graphs.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge or the ability to gain knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX software
- Training / Performance : Must be able to complete the initial Alsip Mixer Operator Training orientation check list (F62-03 AP-MX) and must be able to complete all tasks successfully as documented on the position step up card
