About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 1 year required License : Must have CA license in hand Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have : Experience in a teaching hospital required Job Description : Provide care to patients aged birth to 18 years in the PICU.
- Manage and monitor arterial lines, perform conscious sedation, and use continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
- Care for critical care patients, including those with metabolic issues, respiratory conditions, endocrinology, oncology, neurosurgical challenges, level 1 traumas, and cardiology needs.
- Weekend shifts required every other week.- Floating required, primarily to NICU and CVICU, with potential to assist in other areas.
- Documentation experience preferred with Cerner.- First-time travelers are eligible.- COVID-19 Vaccine required, with exceptions for medical or religious reasons.
- Holiday time off requests are approved on a first-come, first-serve basis, with manager discretion.- Experience with supervising references required within one year of employment or from the most recent employer.
