We are currently seeking an associate attorney with a strong background in Employment Law litigation for a full time position at a highly awarded boutique law firm.
The successful candidate will be ambitious and highly motivated with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in employment law.
Candidates should have a high level of academic achievement and exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and an ability to handle the day-to-day demands and workflow of working in a team-oriented environment.
The firm's Employment Group provides advice and counseling services to employers through the North Bay and beyond. The selected candidate can expect to counsel on hiring, firing and discipline issues, as well as create handbooks, contracts, and general employment policies.
Attorneys also assist with and conduct investigations and represent clients in litigation and administrative hearings. This is a great opportunity for an associate with an interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility and advancing their career with a reputable law firm.
Qualifications :
- 3 or more years of litigation experience with California employment law
- Experience drafting / responding to pleadings and discovery, drafting / arguing motions
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and adaptability to learn and integrate feedback
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently, handle high-volume work load, and effectively prioritize matters
- JD from an ABA accredited school
- In good standing with the California Bar (or prompt admission)
- Trial experience is a plus, but not required
