La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring a full-time Child and Family Therapist for the Behavioral Health department in Chicago, IL.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a full-time child and family therapy at La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL with a 4 day work week 9am to 7 : 30pm.

The therapist in this position will work in our integrated behavioral health primary care medical clinics as well as provide outpatient therapy.

Essential Child and Family Therapist Functions :

• Provide behavioral health services to patients and their families, including individual, family and group therapy
• Provide behavioral health consultation services
• Provide short and long term outpatient behavioral health care to patients.
• Provide coverage of integrated behavioral health consultation
• Provide care for patients with presenting symptoms such as behavioral problems, school and learning problems, trauma exposure and symptomology, attention problems, anxiety, depression, as well as others.
• Has training in and can implement behavioral health interventions such as individual psychotherapy, behavior modification techniques, trauma informed care, family therapy, group therapy and crisis intervention.
• Conduct clinical intake assessments and appropriate diagnosis. Issues and scores scales and measures to evaluated functioning and for diagnostic clarification
• Provide cases management and advocacy
• Consult and collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to ensure services are integrated into patient’s treatment.

What we need from you :

• LCSW required
• Experience providing therapy with children, working on a multidisciplinary team, experience with trauma informed care, chronically ill children are highly desirable.
• CPR required : Only certifications issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross will be accepted.
• Flu vaccination required
• Spanish speaking preferred
