$32-$36 per hourJob Description : We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Chicago, IL.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience in industrial environments.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment critical to our production processes.Key Responsibilities :
- Preventive Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Repairs : Carry out repairs on industrial machinery, including mechanical components, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Machine Setting and Calibration : Set up and adjust machines according to production specifications. Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning according to the operational requirements.
- Installation : Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring it is correctly set up and integrated into the production line.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure that all machinery operates efficiently.
Provide support and training to other team members as needed.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong emphasis on mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in machine setting and calibration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
