Division of Inclusive and Accessible Learning - Committees on Special Education - CSE 6
This position is open to CSE SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS, SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS, TEACHERS ASSIGNED A (that are assigned to the CSE) who will support the process of arranging services for eligible students with IESPs.
LOCATION :
The service provision activity may be conducted at CSE 6 in person or remotely at the discretion of the supervisor.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
CSE employees licensed and appointed in one of the areas listed above are eligible to apply.
SELECTION CRITERIA :
Selection will include a satisfactory rating, and satisfactory attendance throughout the school year, seniority and work sharing for UFT staff.
CSE staff with expertise supporting IESP students and arranging services will be given preference.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Arranging services for eligible students with IESPs.
- Responding to Due Process complaints.
- Communicating with partner offices, including the Office of the General Question.
- Responding to inquiries from families and their representatives.
WORK SCHEDULE :
As needed on or after October 28, 2024, to or before January 31, 2025, based on budget availability
Weekdays / Weekends for no more than 3 hours a day up to 6 hours during the weekdays and no more than 5 hours during the weekend.
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY :
Per Session rates as per the relevant union / organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
