As Creative Content Manager, you will work in collaboration with our partners at San Diego Football Club, the 30th expansion team of the MLS.

THE ROLE
The Creative Content Manager will be responsible for driving creative projects, graphic design, and content development for San Diego FC.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for graphic design, be a great project manager, and understand B2B and B2C marketing campaigns.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful content that drives sales, enhances partnership marketing opportunities, and effectively communicates the San Diego brand value to fans and potential partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with sales and partnerships objectives
- Create engaging and persuasive content, including sales presentations, pitch decks, case studies, website designs, email campaigns, and other collateral materials
- Design custom visuals that represent brand product placement for partnerships
- Craft compelling messaging and storytelling that effectively communicates the value proposition of SDFC
- Design custom partnership multi-media sales decks that are highly story-driven
- Design infographics and design elements for marketing campaigns
- Create content for email marketing and digital content campaigns
- Design invites, signage, and graphics for events
- Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content channels
- Serve as the project manager for sales and partnerships creative requests : ensure deadlines are met, keep projects up-to-date and organized, communicate with all parties involved
- Identify, develop, and implement new and innovative marketing opportunities and strategies focused on increasing brand awareness
- Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies and implement into work when applicable
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
- Degree in Marketing, Design, or relative industry
- 3+ years as a full-time or part-time marketing or creative professional with a strong desire to grow marketing and creative skills independently and collaboratively
- Understanding of sports and / or brand marketing, branding, sponsorship, and client services
- Advanced Adobe Photoshop and Apple Keynote skills
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
- Experience with video editing a plus
- Comfortable presenting to the organization and project leadership
- Highly motivated self-starter, with strategic thinking and personal leadership skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- Strong problem-solving skills and executioner
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate effectively with internal sales and management teams
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
- Ability to take constructive criticism and change direction based on feedback
- Great attitude, willingness to take on other duties that may not fall into outlined job description
COMPENSATION
Competitive salary range $60,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
