St Julien Hotel & Spa is in search of a uniquely talented Sales Manager to join our team! Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated sales professional who is passionate about hospitality and committed to providing meaningful experiences to guests while maximizing group revenue.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Sell guest rooms, meeting space, and other Hotel-related services.
  • Respond to client inquiries / concerns in an effective and timely manner. This may include telephone inquiries, RFP bids, proposals, booking confirmations, and thank you / follow-up letters.
  • Conduct outside sales calls to cultivate existing customers and develop new business.
  • Prepare and present effective proposals and maintain well-organized files and reports.
  • Plan and execute on-site inspections and tours of the Hotel for new / potential clients.
  • Communicate relevant details to other departments within acceptable time frames regarding upcoming group needs, VIP clients, meeting functions, billing procedures, etc.
  • Contribute to the research and development of the annual strategic marketing plan, budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interactions.
  • Maintain quality call and solicitation records.
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and profit margins.
  • Actively participate in weekly revenue meetings.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of industry and trends in market.
  • Contribute and work as a team member in all facets of the position.
  • Other duties as requested by manager.

  • Represents themselves and the Hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service-focused demeanor, and a courteous, sincere attitude at all times.
  • Promotes collaboration and a positive, professional work environment.
  • Should be well versed in the concept of upselling and understanding of the importance of food & beverage / meeting room rental revenues in the overall success of the business.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years’ sales experience at a luxury, full-service hotel is required. Previous experience at a Four Star and / or Four Diamond property is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in sales, negotiations, and business writing / presentation.
  • General computer knowledge and proficiency using MS Office products is required.
  • Must be able to hear, speak, read, and write English fluently; Spanish-language ability is a plus but not required.
  • Must have open and flexible availability and be able to work on-site (vs. remotely) . Typical workweek is Monday Friday, however schedule may fluctuate based on contracted events and / or scheduled appointments.
