A law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Professional Liability Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves representing licensed professionals in litigation matters, providing expert legal counsel, and contributing to the firm's success through dedicated practice and professional development.
Duties :
- Represent clients in professional liability cases, including but not limited to, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and accounting malpractice.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to clients.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to case strategy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in firm-sponsored training and professional development activities.
Requirements :
- Must be licensed to practice law in Georgia.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent advanced degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in representing licensed professionals in litigation matters.
Education :
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Must hold a valid Georgia State Bar license.
Skills :
- Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Ability to handle complex legal issues and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
