As the Full-Time Lead Electrical Engineer at Card-Monroe Automation, you will take charge of leading automation and electrical design for both local and regional controls projects, ensuring that our high standards are met through thorough design reviews. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with various internal engineering teams to enhance design work and refine standards, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Additionally, you will support our manufacturing and equipment build teams directly on the shop floor, engaging in critical tasks such as power-up, I / O checkout, and commissioning. Are you the Lead Electrical Engineer we're looking for?

To thrive as a Full-Time Lead Electrical Engineer at Card-Monroe Automation, candidates should possess a robust set of skills and experience. A minimum of 12 years in machine building, system integration, or industrial automation is essential, alongside a solid understanding of UL508A and the ability to design systems compliant with NFPA and NECA standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical is required, coupled with a strong grasp of discrete and analog circuits for troubleshooting. Experience with hazardous area classifications and industrial networking protocols-including Ethernet / IP, PROFINET, TCP / IP, and Modbus-is vital.

Candidates should also demonstrate a high-level electrical and mechanical understanding, along with hands-on experience in the automotive, food / beverage, or chemical industries. Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this dynamic role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

Minimum Previous Experience :

• 12+ years of experience in machine building, system integration or industrial automation
• UL508A knowledge
• Experience designing systems to meet all applicable standards including NFPA and NEC
• AutoCAD or Solidworks Electrical experience
• Understands discrete and analog circuits and how to troubleshoot.
• Understands hazardous area classification and how to apply to control systems and device selection.
• Industrial networking experience : Ethernet / IP, PROFINET, TCP / IP, Modbus, DH+, RIO, EtherCAT etc.
• High level electrical and mechanical understanding
• High level knowledge of how to read and interpret P&IDs and instruments spec sheets.
• Hands on experience in automotive, food / beverage, chemical or consumer product manufacturing designing and integrating automated equipment.
• Designing integration equipment including robot cells, OEM machines, process systems, etc.
