Research Associate
Research Associate Contract-to-Hire Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Effectively organizes work, sets priorities, determines resource requirements, establishes the necessary sequence of activities needed to achieve goalsConducts a range of tests to measure the functionality of protein ingredients, including but not limited to solubility, emulsification, foaming, and gelation propertiesPerforms tests and analyses on yogurt samples to assess physical properties and stabilityManage inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and materials, ensuring that stock levels are maintained, and orders are placed when necessaryEnsure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standardsRequirements : Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related fieldPrevious experience in a laboratory or production environment, preferably in the field of food ingredient developmentFamiliarity with food ingredients and techniques for assessing ingredient functionalityStrong understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and data analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate test results effectivelyDetail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality in all aspects of workStrong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
