Job Description :
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
This role is part of a 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit, caring for all cardiac needs. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4-6, supported by Patient Care Technicians and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator.
Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available, as well as monitor techs to observe those on telemetry.
