CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
Gotham Companies is looking for a qualified and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you’ll provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients.
Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, patient transfers, and other essential healthcare duties.
- Key Responsibilities : *
- Deliver personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and attending to other personal needs.
- Assist patients with meals preparation, feeding, and monitoring intake as necessary.
- Safely transfer patients between bed, chair, and other equipment using proper techniques such as one-person, two-person transfers, and Hoyer lifts.
- Record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and document them following facility policies.
- Perform range of motion (ROM) exercises and assist patients in mobility, walking, and transportation via wheelchair or stretcher.
- Empties bedpans and collects specimens (urine and other samples) for analysis.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following all health and safety guidelines.
- Requirements : *
- High school diploma or GED required.
- New York State Certification* as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
- No prior experience needed
- Ability to work in diverse environments (exposure to noise, dust, etc.) while providing high-quality care.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with patients and co-workers effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and assist with patient mobility and transfers.
- Must follow all facility policies on hazardous materials and waste management.
- Physical Requirements : *
- Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues.
- Ability to stand for extended periods at bedside or procedural areas.
- Occasionally required to lift / move heavy weights.
Job Types : Full-time, Contract
Pay : $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
