Description

Within this position, the responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include :

• Preparation of various expense and balance sheet journal entries and account reconciliations
• Preparation of balance sheet and profit & loss statements, including enhancements to profit & loss statements, as the company grows / changes
• Analyzes month over month expense variances
• Prepare detailed close packages containing financial statement schedules and analysis
• Responsible for detailed monthly freight analysis.
• Build dashboards containing KPI's to monitor the company's performance
• Assist team with account reconciliations, and general accounting questions
• Support controller on implementation of accounting procedures and policies
• Assist in preparation and implementation of internal controls, including meeting with internal and external auditors to discuss deficiencies and opportunities for improvement

Profile

To be considered for this Senior Accountant position, candidates will ideally have :

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Masters or CPA is highly preferred but not essential
• Public accounting experience highly preferred but not essential
• 3+ years of accounting / public accounting experience
• Excellent excel skills & communication skills
• Manufacturing or distribution industry experience

• An excellent base salary of between $80,000- $100,000
