A Houston, TX-based law firm specializing in personal injury is seeking a motivated and licensed Personal Injury Associate Attorney.
This is an excellent opportunity for both seasoned attorneys and fresh graduates who have taken the Texas Bar Exam and are awaiting their results.
The role involves managing personal injury cases through all stages of litigation, from initial filing to settlement. Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Duties :
- Handle a variety of personal injury cases independently, with minimal supervision.
- Manage pre-litigation and litigation phases for personal injury claims, including car accidents, trucking accidents, slip and falls and similar cases.
- Prepare and file lawsuits, conduct depositions, and respond to written discovery.
- Engage in mediation, drafting motions, and other key litigation processes.
- Participate in trials when necessary; prior trial experience is beneficial.
- Maintain and organize case files, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills throughout the litigation process.
Requirements :
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage personal injury cases.
- Strong litigation, deposition, and motion practice experience.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
Skills :
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Bilingual proficiency is an advantage.
