Finance Analyst
Our client, a food manufacturer, is on the market to add a Finance Analyst to their team. The Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Finance activities at the Swedesboro facility.
A close working relationship with the management team, and particularly the facility’s Controller, must be maintained in order to provide financial analysis and business insight on a daily basis.
Responsibilities :
- Support the Controller in a multitude of areas including but not limited to : 1) process order reporting; 2) inventory management;
- 3) process / continuous improvement; 4) cost control and containment (including involvement in variance analysis); 5) project tracking / management ;
6) ad-hoc analysis to support the Controller’s role.
- Promote a strong internal control environment within the facility. Identifies possible weaknesses and develop (in conjunction with Controller) systems / processes to close any gaps in conjunction with the financial policies of the company and US GAAP and improve operations and profitability.
- Assist with month end, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and internal and external audits.
- Monitor capital project progress and ensure that closing notices are prepared and processed in a timely manner.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
Up to 5 years of related finance experience in a Manufacturing environment and / or education (Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance);
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook email
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Knowledge of standard costing methods and concepts
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, analyze performance trends and draw valid conclusions.
- Maintain a focus on proactive and consistent process improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced culture; must be able to re-prioritize tasks on short notice and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Be a self-starter that is dependable, takes initiative and requires minimal supervision.
- Good people and communication skills, team orientation with ability to work well across all levels
