Inova Fairfax Medica Campus Tower OR Unit is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to join its high acuity, fast paced, multispecialty operating room team! This position is working a varied schedule and shifts 40 hrs / week.

Job Responsibilities :
- The Surgical Technologist 1 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts.
- Demonstrates basic surgical case preparation skills.
- Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform the role of the first scrub on all basic surgical cases.
- Demonstrates the application of the principles of asepsis. Demonstrates the application of the principles of aseptic technique.
Requirements for Consideration :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred : Recent Hospital experience and / or previous practice experience
- Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start.
- Licensed Surgical Technologist via Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start
