Risk Managers have a broad level of exposure across the lines of business and have the opportunity to work with the business to create and implement solutions to appropriately manage risks within Enterprise Services.

The demands and high-visibility nature of this position require an expert with a proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple competing priorities and stakeholder expectations simultaneously, and who can begin contributing immediately to work focused on performing assessments across several domains, including technology and cybersecurity.

As a Manager in the Enterprise Services Risk Office, you will be responsible for working with business partners to identify and consult on potential risks to Capital One.

In the Enterprise Services Risk Office, we are the first line of defense to help ensure our Company remains well-managed and avoid unnecessary risk.

In this position, you will play a key role performing process-based risk assessments to identify and evaluate risks across various risk types, including technology and cybersecurity.

You will collaborate closely with associates across all lines of defense, Lines of Businesses, and other risk management teams to perform and support the work related to further maturing risk management practices for Enterprise Services lines of business.

Responsibilities : Perform the role of a process management risk advisor and leverage subject matter knowledge and critical thinking to drive value during assessments to ultimately improve our processes and reduce risk for Enterprise Services lines of businessAnalyze various business and risk data and information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvementsProvide guidance to the business areas centered in risk management principles in accordance with Enterprise frameworksStay current on the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to our effortsLead and support project and program delivery, including project and process management, reporting, engagement in senior leadership meetings, drafting and reviewing materials for senior management and other governance activitiesParticipate in risk and other management forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk and project / program management practicesSupport direction, manage expectations, and may support / lead cross-functional teams through various initiativesParticipate in and execute other special projects for the team on a periodic basisBasic Qualifications : High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificationAt least 3 years of experience in process management or 3 years of experience in risk managementAt least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal and external business clientsPreferred Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree or military experience5+ years of experience in process management or 5+ years of experience in risk management, specifically in performing process-based risk assessments5+ years of project management experience leading cross functional projects and programs 5+ years of experience with analysis of information security or technology threats and risks 1+ years of experience iin the financial services industry, including familiarity with regulatory practices1+ years of experience in process development, documentation, and improvement experience1+ year of experience in controls development, controls management, and reporting activitiesCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)1+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software toolsAbility to communicate and influence clearly and to interact effectively at all levels of the organizationExcellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelinesConsulting experience with a Big 4 firmAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site) : $163,300 - $186,400 for Manager, Cyber Risk & AnalysisCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI).
