Senior Manufacturing Engineer | CNC Grinding

About Our Client

My client is a leading global aerospace supplier based near Roselle, IL. They have a very exciting customer base primarily in the aerospace and industrial equipment industries, and are in a strong period of growth. They are ISO9001 and AS9100 certified and are looking to bring on an experience Manufacturing Engineer with CNC programming capabilities to be a key player for their Chicagoland production operations.

Job Description

• Receive and interpret customer blueprints, and determine feasibility of manufacturing based on in-house capabilities
• Design manufacturing process from start to finish - determine machines necessary, implement GD&T, establish SOPs, and generate CNC programs
• Troubleshoot production issues as necessary
• Play a key role in the site's problem solving teams to identify root cause of any production issues
• Identify necessary tooling & fixturing as needed for production
• Drive continuous improvement of milling, grinding, and EDM processes

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred - can be made up for with extensive experience
• Minimum 3+ years experience in a machining environment
• Experience with CNC milling, grinding, EDM required
• Knowledge of CNC programming - MasterCAM software preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and / or SolidWorks
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing
• Bilingual in English / Spanish highly preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
