We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our organization and drive our mission forward. The Executive Director will be responsible for setting strategic goals and ensuring the organization's operations are aligned with these objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in senior leadership, with a focus on operations management and business development.
The Executive Director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization, while also developing and implementing strategies for growth and expansion.
It will be the Director's responsibility to oversee the entire budget and manage all the employees of this community organization.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to :
- Evaluate the work of staff and volunteers to ensure that all programs are of appropriate quality and resources are used effectively.
- Recruit, interview and hire staff.
- Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community to meet the community needs and ensure services are not duplicated.
- Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meet the objectives set by the board of directors.
- Direct activities of professional and technical staff members and volunteers.
- Plan and administer budgets for programs, equipment, and support services.
- Participate in the determination of organizational policies regarding issues such as participant eligibility, program requirements and benefits.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports such as budgets, personnel records, and training manuals.
- Research and analyze community needs to determine programs and goals.
- Represent the organization with government and media institutions.
- Speak to community groups to explain and interpret agency purposes, programs & policies.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Social Work or related field Master’s Degree preferred
- 10 years of experience working for a social service agency in a leadership role and / or a Master’s Degree in related areas with 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- A minimum of 7 years of management experience required.
- Experience working with a diverse population in a professional, child-friendly environment.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word or similar : Outlook, Excel, Power-Point)
- Strong commitment to John Hope’s mission.
- Demonstrated ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive confidential issues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in increasing revenue streams by obtaining local and federal grants and monitoring adherence to guidelines of the grants.
- Lead in the direction of Capital improvement and maintenance.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in senior leadership, with a focus on operations management and business development.

Job Type : Full-time
Pay : From $65,000.00 per year
