Position will remain open till filled.
The Collections Specialist for Steel Lending Group is responsible for customer service and collections for Steel Lending Group’s customers.
Time Commitment : This job requires full time in office availability during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8 : 30 AM 5 : 00 PM)
Compensation : Non-Exempt position, hourly wage
Reports to : Office Manager
Back up person : Office Manager or their designee
Work location : In-office
Responsibilities
Professional Requirements :
- Communicate (both verbally and in writing) in a professional manner that instills confidence in the customer, and communicates Steel Lending Group’s, professional image.
- Project an out-going, friendly demeanor, with the ability to easily converse with people. This position represents Steel Lending Group and must always act in a professional manner.
- Respond to all phone, email and text inquiries from customers promptly.
Customer Service / Collections :
- Answer Incoming calls
- Provide excellent customer service to customers.
- Answer customer inquiries on accounts
- Process payments via customer request
- Make outgoing collection calls
- Negotiates payment terms with customers in accordance with established guidelines to minimize potential legal action or repossession.
- Provide solution based on customer’s situation.
- Receives and responds to collection and credit related inquiries in a prompt manner
- Performs other related duties as assigned

This position may require extended periods of sitting and / or viewing a computer monitor.
